Residential Interior Designer
/ Remodeling Designer
Work directly with homeowners to shape kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home remodels, and additions—from the first conversation through design development and material selections.
Apply hereWhat You’ll Do
- Meet with homeowners to understand their goals, needs, and project requirements.
- Develop residential remodeling design concepts and incorporate client feedback throughout the process.
- Create and revise plans using Chief Architect, 2020 Design, or similar software.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, renderings, and cabinet layouts.
- Guide clients through materials, fixtures, cabinets, and finishes in our showroom.
- Support estimating, scopes of work, and material quantities.
- Present design proposals and explain the benefits of different remodeling options.
- Coordinate with project development and construction teams while managing multiple projects.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience designing residential remodeling projects.
- Proficiency with Chief Architect or similar design software.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Understanding of residential remodeling practices.
- Reliable transportation for occasional local meetings and site visits.
Experience We’d Love to See
- Kitchen and bath design experience.
- Experience in design-build remodeling.
- 2020 Design experience for cabinet layouts.
- NKBA certification or related design credentials.
